It was months ago when Jacqueline and Cary first contacted me about shooting their engagement pictures. I remember my first contact with Jacqueline. She sounded so sweet on the phone as she asked me about their choices of clothing and expressed her love for her adorable dog Jayda. "I know it's odd, but we would like to bring Jayda with us for our pictures. Is that okay?" Of course it was okay! I am big of a dog lover myself, so I understand. :)
It was while I was shooting their engagement pictures that Cary and I realized we grew up in the same small town. Such a small town that I was in shock that somehow we didn't know each other! I developed such a connection and a friendship with Cary and Jacqueline, and I was pretty bummed that I would not be photographing their wedding day for them. Cary has a professional photographer in the family who had offered to do it for them.
Fast forward to about 5 weeks ago just after I shot Jacqueline's bridal portraits. I received a call from a very panicked Jacqueline. Cary's family member could no longer photograph the wedding, and they were desperate to find someone. I felt so terrible for them, but I gleamed with excitement when I looked at my calendar to see that I was available for their day! (I just had to bump Brayson's party back on day.) Jacqueline squealed with excitement, and I think I even I did a happy dance!
I really can't express in words how wonderful this couple is. They have such a bond and a deep love for one another and the Lord. I was truly honored to have shared their day with them, and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to!
Sarah has been working very hard on all of their pictures. She has been such a wonderful help to me! I am so happy to share that she is taking over most all of the editing and design around here. I am hoping to get my life back over the next couple of months!! Yay! Here is a slideshow of a mix of our images from the day. Enjoy!
**** OOOPS...please excuse the fact that the right side is getting cut off a little bit. I can't figure out how to fix that. You can see the slideshow in true form here! ****
Cary and Jacqueline - thank you so much for thinking of me when it came time to find a photographer! I am so happy that things worked out the way they did. I have been blessed to get to know you and your families. Sarah and I love you two, and we wish you the best!!

**** Thank you so much to those who have let me know you are praying for Brayson. It really means so much to us to hear that you care!!! You have touched my heart and brightened my spirits the past couple of days! I hope to know the results of Brayson's CT scan tomorrow, and I will share them as soon as I can! God Bless! ****

I am Jacqueline's cousin. I saw the engagement pictures that you took for them. THEY WERE AMAZING!! My favorite is the one of them standing on the hill with the wind blowing. Most pictures look so posed and uncomfortable. Your pictures looked very casual and relaxed. Wonderful job.
Crystal and Sarah....you guys are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! THANK YOU so much for the slideshow and for the sneak peek! We absolutely LOVE the pictures and we cannot wait to see the rest. You were so much fun and made us feel so relaxed while "striking some poses." You were such a huge part of mine and Cary's engagement, wedding preparation, and wedding day. We love your work and you just might be shooting our daughter (dog), Jayda soon! Thank you so much! I can't wait to order!
I just looked at the pictures and am amazed. You did such a fab job on all the pics. They really are beautiful.
